I’m sitting at the library and unexpectedly hold music plays over the loudspeaker, accompanied by the loud sound of feedback— the kind I’m accustomed to hearing onstage during sound check. A flushed librarian hustles by in benevolent search of the owner of a bicycle left outside, trodden upon by a surprise rain. The fall leaves plummet dramatically alongside the rain and a woman walks in saying she observed a full rainbow along her drive. A lot can happen in a few minutes...
