I'm absolutely heartbroken at the devastating news of the death of Chef Jim Burke. He was one of the first chefs that I met when I first came to Philly. For decades, he's been a fixture on the food scene in Philadelphia (and beyond), a kind and hardworking man who was able to see the beauty in the kitchen and make it into something worth holding onto. One of the most welcoming and genuine people in the industry. He was a great human who will be deeply missed. My heart goes out to his wife and family, who he loved so dearly.
