Check out the feature on @tomsachs published this weekend in the @nytimes by Andrew Russeth, “Tom Sachs: Rocket Man to Renaissance Man.” The feature discusses Tom’s recent work with NFTs, exploration of outer space, design of Nike sneakers, and his three concurrent exhibitions now on view in Seoul. This fall, Acquavella will present exhibitions of Tom’s work in New York and Palm Beach. Titled “Spaceships,” the shows will explore the artist’s longstanding interest in outer space and will include representations of spaceships in sculptural and painted forms, in addition to works that indirectly reference the idea of the spaceship, relating either formally or conceptually to the theme. Talking about his interest in outer space, Sachs explains: “You don’t go to other worlds because you’ve ruined this one and you’re looking for a new home.
