The road to @julephou’s pop-up at Limantour has been a dream come true. @limantourmx current menu, Jose Luis Leon collaborated with @suculenta_oax to procure unique an ethically sourced ingredients from regional parts of Mexico. For our pop-up he asked us to incorporate one of the ingredients on the menu called Hongo Langosta (Lobster Mushroom) and so we set on a trip to Oaxaca to vist the village of Cuajimoloyas to forage for our ingredient. It grows hidden so finding one in the rainy forest felt truly special. Martha, our tour guide and mushroom whisperer, was born and raised in the village and her family has forged for generations. If you happen to be in Mexico City today stop by and see us at Limantour Roma starting at 6pm. My team and I will be shaking cocktails from our menu and also one with this coveted Langosta.
