If you’re in Perth hunting for freshly roasted coffee beans or need help repairing your coffee equipment, visit the team at Direct Coffee Supplies. They’re doing a bang-up job keeping broken coffee machines out of landfills with their repair work, and they’re recycling coffee bags through TerraCycle to boot!
“For us to test the coffee machines we repair, we have to use coffee. So the technicians go through coffee bags all the time,” says Direct Coffee Supplies office manager, Lis Giraldo.
“The Zero Waste Box was the cheapest recycling option I could find and it accepts any brand of coffee bag, which is great.”
It takes the team a few months to fill up their Zero Waste Box, and they’re happy for customers to add coffee bags from home to the pile.
“We have the box in reception, so it’s the first thing any customer sees when they come in.”
Keen to clean up your own caffeine habit? You can recycle used coffee capsules, bags and tea and coffee paraphernalia with our Zero Waste Boxes. Check out all the other complex rubbish you can recycle with a Zero Waste Box link in bio
