🧔@glennondoyle mentioned this quote on the podcast this week and I hadn’t heard it in awhile. šŸ’›After going down an attribution rabbit hole—these powerful words were indeed written by @mariannewilliamson—I was struck by their power. šŸ’–When someone asks me how my business is doing or gives me a complement, I find myself saying things like, ā€œMy business will be good when I get to (fill in the blank) worth of sales each month.ā€ Or I’ll take the complement and soak it in for about 5 seconds before telling them all of the things I could have done better. ā™„ļøSo I ask myself this question in earnest: Why do I play small? šŸ¤ŽAm I afraid of what I can become? Am I embarrassed to become the most powerful, successful version of myself? šŸ’œHonestly, I think I am a little afraid, as if admitting that I want to be the best version of myself would imply I’m egotistical, narcissistic, or greedy. šŸ’™I’ve been trying to play bigger lately, and as terrifying and uncomfortable as it is for me, I can tell that I’m inching closer and closer to the truest, most powerful version of myself. Q: Do you play small? If so, what is one positive trait about yourself that you’ve been keeping from the world. I want to hear about it! 😘-Amanda #amandahaascooks #houseofhaas #inspirationalquotes
