Did you know #Humpday = self-care day. You probably didn’t, because I just made it up.😂 Either way, the week has been weeking and I’m looking forward to a little music therapy tonight. Ok, ALOT OF IT. 🤗
Did you know:
🎼Music can increase our dopamine levels (you know the chemical released in the brain that makes you feel good) 😍
🎼Music is intimately tied to our emotional memory (do you have that one song that remind you of.. nevermind) 🧠

🎼Music may have an effect on our breathing rate and heart rate (there’s nothing like a good song to put your heart at ease). ♥️
In our lives and work, we encounter heavy stuff: whether that be through working with folks who encounter overwhelming challenges; hearing a second-hand account of a traumatic event; or even just reading about something that deeply affects us on the news (which seems to be happening more and more these days).
I use #musictherapy for my own self-care daily and as an intentional tool for my health and wellness. Let’s just say it’s what get me through the stressors of life. 😜
