Maggot Brain. I first heard this song years ago watching @gasparnoeofficial 's "Love". It's a 10 minute solo improvised and recorded in one take by Eddie Hazel. I later discovered the story of this song, which is when fellow group member told Eddie Hazel, who at the time was high out of his mind on LSD to play as if his mother had passed. True insight into a human mind which is probably why it stuck with me for years. After battling with addiction his entire life, Eddie Hazel died at 42 of liver failure on December 23rd, 1992. This song was played at his funeral. RIP Eddie Hazel.
