What happens when I dog-sit, part 3: Foxie, once again, climbed into the skin of “Jamie,” and I of “Cathy” in #TheLastFiveYears. And, once again, Foxie made interesting choices. So, I tried a delicate creative dialogue: ME: Remember, Foxie, in the number “I Can Do Better Than That,” Cathy and Jamie are more in sync with where they are in their relationship. FOXIE: Yeah. That’s what I’m “being” in the moment. ME: Okay. Well, it’s coming across as a little aloof and, honestly, you seem annoyed with me. FOXIE: With you, yes. With “Cathy,” no. ME: But, I’m playing “Cathy.” Sorry. I mean I’m “being” Cathy. FOXIE: Are you, though? ME: Okay. I’m just saying.... During this song, they are more in the honeymoon phase... FOXIE: Oh. Did you write this? ME: ... No, but... FOXIE: Knock, knock. ME: Foxie, I’m just.... FOXIE: KNOCK. KNOCK! ME: Who’s there? FOXIE: No Notes. ME: No notes, who? FOXIE: No notes ME.
