We are honored to display Madeleine Astor's lifejacket. One of only few traced back to an actual passenger, and 12 known to exist today. This life jacket was placed on her by husband, John Jacob Astor as he settled her into a lifeboat. He was not permitted to join her, he did not survive Titanic, but his body was returned to his family for burial.
