I accidentally fell into food blogging, and it’s been such a journey! One that I am so humbled + grateful to share with my family and you all. ♥️🔥🍳
Coming from an Asian immigrant family, career and salary are so important and to chase your dreams is a luxury that is not always understood. After all, immigrating to America is not easy, but all my dad hoped for was for my brother and I to have the opportunities that he didn’t have.
For over 5 years Jeromy and I had been building up Nom Life while working and I realized that this is what I love. I love being able to share our culture, food, local restaurants, travels — and even just share who we are! I still pinch myself that we’re able to share all of this, and that I’m not doing it alone, because the creative journey is always better together.
Not going to lie, it took me almost two years to tell my dad I quit my 9-5, and while it did take him some time to adjust— he just might be our biggest fan 🥰
ꜰᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰᴏᴏᴅ:
• the bacon is sprinkled with some honey + demerara sugar to caramelize it
• the bread is a sourdough loaf
• the cheese is lactose free but I forgot to take a picture of the label! 🥲
