May 15th 2010 ... 12 years ago, my life changed . I felt like everything had been taken away from me in one FLASH 💥 ! I was set on fire whilst working by an electrical explosion. I suffered 45% burns to my face , neck , arms & hands ! I temporarily lost my sight at the scene of the incident. I remember the air ambulance saying to me “ don’t worry you won’t feel anything in a minute “ they put me in an induced coma and took me to a burns specialist hospital. There I was treated by specialist surgeons and nurses. I remember coming out of the coma 2 weeks later very confused. Gradually as I realised what had happened to 23 year old me. I struggled with acceptance and anger “ why did this shit happen to me! “ Sometimes we are on a path in life we are quite happy and content with then something happens which turns our world upside down. Someone up there had other ideas and the universe had a different plan for me. Luckily for me my parents....... pushed me to keep going through my rehabilitation, surgeries , Physiotherapy & Counseling. Frankie was the turning point for my mental health ! That Dog was amazing gave me a purpose, gave me someone who depended on me , gave me love and he would always be by my side . He lead my life on a completely new path where I met Gemma whilst training with dogs. Gemma loved Frankie , Frankie & I loved Gemma! We moved in together and started our own business So we now have Jamie Pound Dog Training teaching classes to pet owners from Chorleywood & Berkhamsted. Then UK Sniffer Dogs that is now Training Dog Trainers from all over the world to teach Scent Detection & Tracking to pet dog owners for fun , stimulation and competition! I now believe all this happened to me for a reason, it lead me on a personal journey that not only made me a better person but has given me the most amazing career and family of my own . I want to thank my mum and dad , my wife @gemmapound , Frankie the NHS My nurse Linda @katiepiper_ @kpfoundation @tulsidivine108 my kids Grace , Henry and George The dogs I have now Cookie, Lilly , Nemo, Hallie & Chelsea .... and everyone at @uksnifferdogs and @jamiepounddogtraining
