the very first thing I hung up in the new house 🤍 a few months ago, @meganrosebonham offered make a custom piece for me. She asked if there was a phrase or a quote I wanted with it. I remember trying to think of my favorite song lyric of all time, and this one from Landslide flashed big and bright in my head. When it showed up at my house, I think I cried for an hour. You have to see it in person to understand how beautiful and striking it is. But the words resonated in a way I never expected them to when they popped into my head that day. If you have followed me for a while, you’ll know I’m sentimental and sensitive to the core. I reference the seasons of life in my own writing quite often. But the one I’m in right now is the hardest and heaviest by...a landslide. I ask myself all the time, Can I really handle this? But I can, and I always do. The bright green leaves that popped up on my tree this morning remind me of that. Winter always turns to spring. I can handle this, I always do.
