Dracula, but in the style of Maria Callas? As a kid, I was obsessed with Dracula because dressing up as a vampire was my excuse to wear flowing robes (in my head they were dresses!) and lipstick. I fell in love with art and theater partly because of the freedom it gave me with my expressions of gender! I’ve always been a little drag performer. I don’t believe drag is something that can be taught or forced. Just like being queer, it’s something we just know about ourselves, and all we need is a little permission to choose freely!
