Last night we closed HAMILTON LA and what a beautiful way it was to close this chapter for now. It’s been almost 5 years, but it still feels like yesterday. I am filled with gratitude. I am filled with love. I am filled with admiration. And I am filled with pride. The show gave me just as much as I gave it. It was there for me in every way I needed it to be. It sheltered me. It fed me. It held me accountable. It made me grow. It gave me a family. And it gave me a purpose. Hearing “And when my time is up, have I done enough?” hit so much harder last night. Crushed me, actually. But as I stood on that stage with my company one last time I knew in my heart, with unwavering certainty, that the answer was “yes”. Thank you. All of you. Stay tuned.
