The idea was create the most reduced version of a RIMOWA case by referencing what it started as - raw aluminum in a factory - and also what it ends as - this zeitgeist standard of the best suitcase. The logo of elegant travel perhaps. The flip of an over-engineered shipping pallet found in any factory, rendered in beautiful, hand finished, Baltic Birch fine-grade plywood. Then, placed atop the pallet, handwork finished raw 6063 aluminum to reference the solid extruded rounds of aluminum which is the birth state of the material before its worked into sheets to construct a RIMOWA suitcase. These tubes were then organized in a pattern that appears as almost a high resolution of a blurred image of the instantly recognizable RIMOWA product...if you squint.
