SLO! I have more pictures and videos to share, but this moment was insane. A couple people came to me in the booth and asked if I was “ready for the fireworks” or something, and I had no idea what they were talking about. Eventually I was told the owner of the property (@vert_jungle) was going to light his board on fire and wanted to come out to....I believe, AC/DC - Thunderstruck, which I didn’t have. Intergalactic by beastie boys immediately popped into my head, and it was absolute perfection. The way we suddenly went to complete pitch black on the ramp, to hearing that unmistakable intro on top of the cheers from the crowd, to @vert_jungle dropping in, board ablaze and dodging people who slid into the ramp thinking it was time for the dance party to start 😂😂 Truly a moment I’ll cherish forever. Thanks @victoriatorrres for capturing it! And of course shout out to the first inaugural @skatesafarifest to the @shabangslo team! Great great big win for the community and everyone involved. Hands down one of the coolest events I’ve ever been to. Period. On my way back to SF, so I’ll see y’all later hopefully 🤘🥹
