Details from a few of my Coptic stitch journals. I delight in these close up photos. It’s easy to view my work as time-consuming, tedious, and non-lucrative. I grow weary of it from time to time. However, when I zoom in and observe the fine details, I’m reminded that there is beauty in slowing down. It is a privilege to engage in something laborious. The process is not in vain, especially when I am holding the fruit of my labors. It may not make me a millionaire, but I sure love my work.
