Either way y’all, it’s rude and aggressive🥴. If you’ve never sat in a chair in my dental office, simply put, you are not my patient, and you should not be sending me pictures of your teeth and mouth via direct message. Well actually no one should send me pictures even if you are a patient. I can’t treat you via social media. I’ve gotten so good about blocking folks who do this. I love dentistry and I love what I do, but when I decide to sit down and grab a snack while at the same time check my messages, I don’t want to see anybody’s teeth when I’m doing this. 🤢 Social media may give the impression that doctors are easily accessible, but we are not. We have lives that don’t revolve around our careers. We’re not always “on”. Doctors have office hours, and in order for me to diagnose and treat you properly, I have to see the issue or problem in person, and because of that, you should make an appointment within those office hours and not send pics via direct message. I’m happy to treat you in oerson.
