When it hunts fish in schools and its skin looks like jewels... that’s a moray! 🤌The beautiful jewel moray (Muraena lentignosa) can be found in parts of the eastern Pacific Ocean, from the Gulf of California to the coast of Peru. Like many morays, it’s an ambush predator that inhabits reefs and rocky areas. The jewel moray has a diet that includes crustaceans and fishes, which it hunts mostly under the cover of darkness.
