I FINALLY DID IT I couldn’t be more excited to say that I’m now officially beginning my music degree at UNT, Fall ‘23. Those of you who’ve known me for awhile will know that I’ve been trying to get into music study for a really long time. But after 3 years of making mistakes, learning from them, and improving my musical abilities, I’ll be working towards a major in Music Composition with a focus in Electronics. For my audition, I had 2 weeks (actually 1 because I was really busy the first week) to put together an original cover of “La Vie En Rose” along with a full performance to show the faculty. I worked really hard everyday that week, and the faculty really seemed to like it. I couldn’t have been happier when I found out that I did in fact make it into the college. I just wanted to thank a few people that really helped me get through this. First of all, all of my friends have seriously supported me through this, so thank all of y’all. @_dylancormier2001_ and @aprilmadison11 helped me with equipment really early the morning of my audition, and supported me throughout. Second, my mom and especially my dad @jerryalexander497 have always been really supportive despite all the stresses I went through trying to make it in; thanks for being great parents. And then finally, @syd.solberg is the love of my life and has been extremely patient and caring throughout all of this, on top of singing on my audition track, helping me with the process, and also carrying equipment early in the morning. I really love you, thanks so much ❤️ But yeah that’s it lol, sorry for the long post; this one’s just been in the making for a long time now. here’s some photos / videos including a couple involving the writing process and a couple from when Sydney took me around Austin and celebrated getting into the college
