Something Mass media doesn't want to talk about that has been pissing me off for the duration of this pandemic, while heroes and villains exist in every group, seems only one group gets away with being both hero and villain while the others get to be demonised. I hadn't heard anything about an 'Black-Asian tension' until the Asians in America documentary in 2020 and even then the only time it became a thing was in 1992 in Los Angeles. So from the sound of things, the media wants to take an issue that happened in one geographic location and generalise it so that everyone who identifies with either ethnic group becomes involved even when they had nothing to do with it? I posed a question on a TIKTOK post a while back asking 'Are all males women beaters?' According to reports and most stories when it comes to domestic violence it's usually the male who is the aggressor but no one labels all males as brutes who beat on females. No one ever answered my question. Needless to say not every person of Asian/Pacific Islander descent is racist nor is every person who identifies as Afro/Black individual is a filthy criminal looking to rob anyone they can get their hands on, if so I highly doubt they would have come together for an event that didn't have anything to do with a Afro/Black person getting executed by law enforcement or racists.
