Moments like this are why I first wanted to become a teacher! The impact of a high five and the smile it brings is never to be underestimated. Although I chose a different career, the desire to pour into young people never left. That’s why I was grateful for the chance to read to these fourth graders and interact with them, as I was leaving their school. I didn’t realize I was being recorded here, but what captured me, was the kids’ curiosity and their plans for their future selves. Thankful for this memory!
