Last week at Hearst, I had the pleasure of speaking on a panel to Howard University students, who are aspiring journalists looking to make a mark in media and television. As a HU alum, it felt like my duty to be transparent and share my experience with ones coming up behind me, so they can see someone from the same educational background that looks like them in this space and have hope for what's to come in their future. It was even more fulfilling to see how hungry they are to embark on a career in the industry, post-graduation.
