To this day, the Lebanese government refuses to include migrant domestic workers in its Labour law. Art. 7 explicitly excludes our work from its protections. This is why a core component of abolishing the Kafala system is to include all workers under Labour law! No reform will initiate the societal and behavioural changes that are needed to guarantee our rights and freedoms.
