Behind the scenes at a rehearsal dinner a couple weeks ago ... The first photo is a behind the scenes shot of me by my 2nd shooter @caitlincoar and the second photo is what I shot. Much of wedding photography is looking for unexpected moments of genuine emotion & connection that tell a story. My clients didn’t see me photographing them here and a few seconds later, the bride got up from the table to go talk with other guests. Moments like this are fleeting. I am always walking around at an event, looking for where the energy is, for the best perspectives, where people are engaged with one another, often while trying to stay a bit further away, as to not ruin a moment with my camera pointed too close at their faces.
