Growing up, I struggled having friendships with girls and women. I felt competitive and awkward, which I was embarrassed by, so of course I did nothing about it and just stayed in my shell and smiled and figured that I wasn't bound for that type of relationship in my life. Fast forward to now, and my friendships with my girlfriends are as important to me as my marriage. Whether it's talking about a spot we found, breastfeeding nightmares, did my kid really say that, marriage counseling recommendations or where to go on vacation, the strength and support and vulnerability that comes from having close female relationships is a foundation that I cannot imagine living without. "This is Beth" was created by the rockstar crew of @sarahleesteele @noamargov12 @jen.i.randall and @tarakerzhner and as much as this film is about my journey with my voice, it wouldn't be half the story without them behind the lens and in the editing studio. For someone who spent decades without the presence of women, it’s a treat to get to stumble through this part of life with the strength and companionship of them now.
