We started Row 7 five years ago to support plant breeders in bringing more diversity and flavor to our fields and our kitchens. This fall, we’re advancing our support of traditional plant breeding and organic farming by launching a retail line of vegetables to bring these ingredients—and a broader seed-to-table conversation—into people’s homes. Row 7 vegetables debut in the Greater Boston region this week at Whole Foods Markets. Each beet, squash and potato was grown organically, in partnership with regional family farms. And we’ve pushed to bring home-compostable, plant-based packaging into the produce aisle. (Compost your Badger Flame beet package to feed next year’s Upstate Abundance potato crop.) Our hope over the next few years is to expand this nationally, building on the same regional organic growing model. But that rests in your very capable hands, Beantown—so please help us ignite excitement around the future of deliciousness. Link in bio to learn more about Row 7’s vegetable program. You can continue to find our seeds at row7seeds.com. Our team and collaborators are still in the rows, building a roster of diverse, organic, and stunningly delicious varieties—and with it, more organic seed. We hope you stay tuned. #row7vegetables #growdelicious #flavorforachange
