One of my talents that I’m not ashamed to be proud of is bringing unlikely musicians together on a song and watching their creativity flower. When I heard the production from @faltydl I felt like I had stepped into a @officialspikelee movie. The strings and synths had so much soul, Falty had created a whole universe in seconds. @saulwilliams is a legend. He is a core, apart of the DNA of a musical lineage I am apart of, that I come after, and that he helped spearhead. With Saul the word iconic takes meaning, it isn’t tossed around. The gifts that Saul has given us are many and when I look at this artist I am in awe of the work they have done, the work they are doing and what’s possible for myself with such a guide and lighthouse. @mnek is a pop star. He is a power player in the music industry, a genius songwriter, talented singer and all around force to be reckoned with. I admire how he has opened so many doors so early in his career and how he navigates being a Black, openly queer pop powerhouse. I wrote this song like a diary entry.
