Ending our epic quick trip to Turin at @michelinguide restaurant Osteria da Gemma. Centered in the heart of the Piedmonte valley of Italy, this spectacular restaurant focuses on the local delicacy - white truffles. White truffles cannot be cultivated. What is known about them: they favor the roots of certain species of trees: poplar, oak, willow, linden, and hazel. Certain climatic conditions are desirable for growing truffles, as well as alkaline soil. They are famous for producing the most aromatic truffle found only within a 20x20 mile radius. And let me tell you- it was worth the 22 hour flight. Buon Appetito! 🇮🇹
