💙Live music brings me a ridiculous amount of joy. There is nothing like looking around a crowd of thousands of people and realizing you’re all sharing the same magical experience. For me, it’s next level. 🎶 💙This is my third concert in 5 weeks, and @davematthewsband did not disappoint. (thank you @brooklyndecker for reminding me how amazing his band is in person!) 💙Music evokes memories, emotions, and distinct feelings for me that no other art form can. Last night I could remember where I was the first time listening to Tripping Billies—on a train in Europe sharing my friend Julie’s mixed tape full of DMB tunes—or the first time I saw Dave play live, which was half a lifetime ago for my 25th birthday. (The tickets were a gift from my ex-husband, and I remember being beyond excited to see the show together. ☺️) 💙At one point last night, I found myself grabbing my heart because the magic of all of the musicians playing together literally took my breath away. It was nothing short of magical. 💙I’d like to apologize to my dear Sunshine ( @sunny__bliss) for apparently singing the ENTIRE time. I thought it was so loud that no one could hear me, but I’m pretty sure I was wrong. 💙 I’m off to make myself a new “mix tape” today full of all of the amazing songs I’ve been able to experience live this year so when I need a little lift in my spirits, I can play them and let these new joyful concert memories come flooding back. 😊 💙What was your favorite concert?
