Humbled.
The week was the College Disc Golf National Championship in North Carolina. Unfortunately, it did not go the way we intended. Due to unfortunate circumstances and lack of communication, we fell out of contention to place well only on our first day. James had his singles round the first day, and missed it, because we thought it was the second day. Not only did this happen to our team, but to three other teams as well. We were blind sided and felt wronged. On my own game, I’ve battled an elbow injury that has affected my ability to play the game at my best, leading to a lot of frustration. The season was filled with a lot of heartbreak and frustration as well, that made disc golf more of a chore than a joy. Regardless of these terrible circumstances, we played with all we had and left it all out on the course! We dealt with hot and cold weather, and the pouring rain the last couple days. This team that I captain had been nothing but full of guys who work hard and play hard. The Lord was working all week, on and off the course. I am proud of each of the guys preparing a devotion for each night, and letting God give us the results when we put in our effort. I’m excited for my last season next year and hope to return to Nationals one last time!
Thank you to @basketcasediscgolfstore for helping me on this journey and sponsoring me this year, and a special shout out to my big bro @caleb.spoo , who has shaped me into the player I am and been my number one supporter! On to the next...
