Six masks were commissioned by @harry_lambert for a Pan & The Dream editorial “Prosopan” (also the issue title meaning “face” or “mask”). Influenced by the ground breaking, gender fluid, Nazi-fighting artist Claude Cahun, from their 1920’s self portraiture era. Although only one mask made the final cut into @panandthedream magazine, another from this series (image 2) found its way onto @harris_reed ‘s mood board for his SS22 collection “Sixty Years A Queen”. Harris asked me to make an exaggerated, super-sized version (80 cms in total) and sent me an amazing sketch of his vision. Image 7 is the final piece and image 8 is the ethereal Harris himself wearing it - nearly touching the ceiling even though he’s sitting down.
