I haven’t really been in the mood to celebrate lately. This last week has left me feeling helpless and everything feels a little heavier, different. My dear friend @zoe_rayor recently reminded me that even if it feels impossible to change the macro, we can still create change within the micro. Unfortunately, I can’t cancel Fourth of July nationally. But this life is short and we all deserve a celebration for making it this far. So instead of hiding this weekend, I’m just changing what I’m celebrating. This week, I’ve been back in one of my favorite places with some of my favorite people. A small haven within an increasingly frightening world. I’m choosing to celebrate this community. A community that hurls itself fiercely into the unknown and shows up time and time again.
