Had a blast showing Rob a piece of the world that helped make me the woman I am today. He’d never been to Howard or DC, or any HBCU really (he played football at Penn State and LSU), so y’all know I had to bring my man to The Mecca for my class’s 10-year reunion at Howard Homecoming. He was so amazed to see all the beautiful Black faces flooding the Yard — to see a place where our people are the majority, basking in pure, unadulterated joy & excellence. I also wanted to make sure he got a good taste of the DC experience — from the amazing food, to the metro (he was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was lol), and the National Mall. Everywhere we went he just kept saying, “I love it here” 😂. We love us some Detroit but idk, DC is looking realllll tempting 👀 lol. Long story short, we had a time. And of course, Howard Homecoming remains undefeated. DC, it’s been “reel” lol. ✌🏾 #ImSoGlad ❤️💙
