Here are a couple of facts about men, Gardnerella vaginalis, and BV. 1) All women have g. vaginalis present in their v@ginal microbiome to some degree, but it’s all about keeping it under control, like Candida. 2) Transmissibility of G. vaginalis, like all bacteria on ones flora, is possible between partners but not the only reason BV occurs. 3) Women can get BV due to G. vaginalis overgrowth even without having seggs when there is a reduction of hydrogen peroxide/lactic acid producing Lactobacillus.
