Unfortunately my father has passed on over to the other side. He had a long two-year battle with mesothelioma cancer where he beat the statistical odds and stayed alive and in good spirits as long as he possibly could. There is no amount of words that can explain someone’s sadness when losing a parent. But there is a sense of happiness knowing that he is no longer suffering and knowing that he lived such an accomplished life, the navy, a former cop, countless other accomplishments, raised three amazing kids and married to the same woman for over 50 years.
