Hungover for me screams something quick with a lot of garlic. It’s exactly what you need to soak up all the alcohol and sins of the night before.
Ingredients
6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced or roughly chopped
1 cup about 200g leftover cooked rice (or from a rice packet)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1⁄2 tsp white pepper
1 egg
2 tbsp butter
1 spring onion, finely chopped
1⁄4 tsp chilli flakes
Fry the garlic in some oil in a hot pan, when it turns golden brown and crispy add in the rice, soy sauce and white pepper. Toss together until evenly coated and piping hot
Fry the egg until very crispy in a pan with some oil
Drain the oil and add the butter and cook for 5 mins until it turns dark brown. Add in spring onions and chilli flakes and cook for 2 mins.
Pile the rice in a bowl, top with the egg and brown butter and finally a pinch of salt.
