Woah... mental, spiritual and emotional moodswings went from pendulum to wrecking ball and back this week. I swear one day I’m in a funk and the next day I AM THE FONK. I’m learning that the surfer’s modality is apropos to those on land well... to live in reverence and respect for the ocean (of emotion). I feel like this aqueous shifting of moods and modes keeps me in flux, open to others’ perspectives and perceptions... keeps the barnacles from latching onto my psyche. Depression is like looking at the world through shit-colored glasses. Just please remember, my friend, that it’s the glasses, not the world, that looks like shit. Blessyawl.
