The gentleman on my right, Professor Rafael Pacheco, is responsible for every photo after this one. I walked into @gbvancouver a number of years ago looking for a place for my daughters to learn how to defend themselves. By way of wishing to show a good example I joined as well, along with their older brothers. The very first class I took was with Rafael. His open, friendly, affable, way and his deep belief in the benefits of jujitsu for everyone, even for those of us closer to a hundred than the beginning, have continued to inspire me to keep at it after all this time. This man lives his life as a true martial artist on and off the matts. These days I make the drive to his place @gbchilliwack along with my cousins and my kids to train with him regularly.
