Join the Briscoe Book Club and discuss the real-life accounts of Isabella Bird’s travels in 1873 through the rugged terrain of the Colorado Rockies. "A Lady’s Life in the Rocky Mountains" is based on Isabella Bird's colorful letters home to her sister. Isabella describes the unique characters she meets, the incredible natural world she encounters, and the many hardships of frontier life, providing a unique perspective of 1870s western life. The meeting will take place off-site at The Good Kind on Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 6 - 8 pm. Books are available for checkout through the San Antonio Public Library system prior to the meeting.
