✨27✨ Grateful to still be here, even though there were many days, weeks and months where I didn’t think I would make it. I’m thankful to myself, my family and my friends for helping me hang on through some of my darkest days. And I’m so glad I did because on the other side of all that pain was a world so beautiful it’s hard to imagine I ever thought of leaving it. 26 wasn’t easy. And making it through that last stretch of my the lockdown was excruciating. Finally getting back on stage and being surrounded by community of friends and other creatives was truly my saving grace. I look back from March to now and just how much I’ve been able to achieve and I’m so proud of myself. I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone and have found my voice again. There’s so much to be thankful for and so many people to thank for getting me to where I am today. For anyone who has shown me love, who has pushed me to keep going and has lifted me up: thank you. I usually do a huge birthday shoot in drag but this year I wanted to do something more stripped back and raw. The person I am at the end of the day when all the makeup is off and the person I wake up to in the morning with the hopes of new dreams and desires.
