When I founded Latinx Parenting I started coming across other resources and organizations that were also doing the work of addressing intergenerational trauma in order to prevent doing more harm to our people. One of those organizations is called Number Story, @mynumberstory . I really love that they don’t shy away from talking about adversity, ACES, and the healing work that really needs to get done. But most importantly that they’re about giving hope. They recently partnered with the American Society for the Positive Care of Children @american_spcc to create an amazing caregiver’s toolkit which they also have available in Spanish! It offers a lot of information about positive parenting, strategies, and the development of children 0-5. The main goal of the toolkit is to give you tools that will support you to meet your children’s needs, to develop your own strengths, and nurture them and yourself in the process.
