Which side do you prefer? The self wrap gave a more effortless look. The ends are more straighter which gives a more softer wave and a sleeker look. The automatic wrap gave more of a curl instead of a wave. It gave a little more volume and more of your typical curls This was my first time doing the self wrap and I actually really liked it.
