I threw my first brand event with Spanx! This time last year, I was a senior in college, completely uncertain about my future and what I was meant to do next. While preparing for software engineering roles, I felt this pull, knowing deep down I need to follow my dreams. I was torn between choosing stability or building a fashion startup as a first-gen low-income student with no money or connections, and it broke me down mentally. On September 21st, 2024, I booked a random yoga class to calm down before midterms, and met my lovely instructor, @madgoode After a lot of reflecting, I decided to let go of big tech and bet on myself instead… Fast forward exactly one year later on September 21st, 2025, Madeline helped me host my startup’s first brand event with @spanx. We brought together 30 incredible women across CPG, Venture Capital, Media, Fashion, and Tech for an inside look at @ssqrd.co. During the summer after graduation, Madeline proposed the idea of doing an event together. A few days later, Spanx reached out to send PR. It felt like a sign, so I pitched a wellness event for female founders, sponsored by SPANX…and they agreed! Crazy how things align.
