How to spend a long weekend in Chicago (from someone who has probably been 8x or more over the years): 🚢 Take a riverboat architecture tour! Is this wildly touristy? Yes. But is it worth all the hype? Also yes! This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever done when visiting Chicago. @getyourguide gifted me my tour but honestly I would 100% pay for this if/when I do it again. 🍕 Indulge in Chicago’s famous deep dish pizza. I’ve had both Lou Malnati’s & Giordano’s, but have also heard incredible things about Pequod’s & Gino’s! (But also don’t limit yourself to just pizza, Chicago has *amazing* food). 🏙 Head up to a skyscraper observation deck! I’ve been in both the John Hancock & Willis towers & they’re both magical. How to choose? Would you rather do the TILT or walk out into one of those extended cubes? I did the TILT at the John Hancock this time & if you’re not afraid of heights it is a BLAST. 🌊 If the weather is warm enough, hang out at the beach! Lake Michigan is gorgeous, it’s awesome to be on a beach but next to skyscrapers, & there are a bunch of beaches to choose from. 🏛 Check out one of the world famous museums. I’ve been to the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, & Adler Planetarium, & ALL OF THEM are worth a visit. 🚶🏼‍♀️ Walk around the city! Some of the most charming parts of Chicago are its neighborhoods.
