Toxic chemicals found in TOP makeup brands! HOW is this allowed?! I hate talking about toxic things, and love discussing the best solutions, but unfortunately the algorithm doesn’t favour that, and hardly anyone sees the content! Crazy! Anyway, Scientists tested 231 make-up products and found that over half were contaminated with toxic forever chemicals (PFAS). Long-lasting and waterproof makeup was the worst – with 82% of waterproof mascaras, 62% of liquid lipsticks and 63% of foundations found to be contaminated. Brands tested included popular brands that you likely have in your makeup bag including; L’Oreal, Ulta, Clinique, Maybelline, Smashbox, Nars, Estee Lauder and more. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a class of 9,000 compounds used to make products like food packaging, clothing, carpets and MAKE-UP water and stain-resistant. They’re dubbed “forever chemicals” because they do not break down and ACCUMULATE in the body and in our environment contributing to serious fertility issues in both men and women, as well as birth defects, liver and thyroid disease, high blood pressure, weakened immune system and the big-C.
