Replying to @Sarah How do I hold my breath for so long?? 🧜♀️ This is a complex answer so ill be answering it with many videos. The biggest thing to remember is that to be able to hold your breath longer whether you are on land or underwater is to be as relaxed as possible. The more energy your body is exerting, the lower the time you can hold your breath. Proper breathing techniques will help you be able to stay underwater longer without needing air. The first tip is to warm up your lungs to get them ready for breath holding. Find a quiet place to sit or lie down on solid ground. Relax your mind and your body. Focus on clearing your mind of all extra thoughts and worries by focusing on your breath. Try not to move your body around and sit as still as possible. Inhale slowly using your diaphragm. You should feel your belly rise instead of your shoulders if you’re using your diaphragm to inhale. Your diaphragm is the muscle attached to the bottom of your lungs that helps expand your lungs to hold more oxygen. Breathe normally for several minutes, then begin to intentionally breathe. What I mean by this, is start to count how long you inhale and exhale. I like to inhale for 5 seconds, hold my breath for 4 seconds and then exhale slowly for about 6 to 8 seconds. repeat this process and every time you preach a breath cycle push yourself to go a little longer each time. Breathe in and out for two minutes at a time keeping yourself at a calm and even pace. This is training your body to handle being without oxygen. Once you are fully relaxed, it's time to get in the water :) Drop your questions in the comments and ill try to answer them all.
