Overwhelmed, tired and unemployed - but here's a photo of me pretending I'm cool and carefree ☀️🖤 I decided to take a few months out of work after my contracts ended last month as I've been feeling not in the best place mentally and physically - for reasons I'd rather not disclose on social media and also I think I deserve some time out as I never did the whole gap year thing a lot of people I know have done. I'm extremely privileged to be able to take this time for myself and I can only do this because I was able to save up by working and living at home for a few years after I graduated. I thought that taking time out of work would somehow make a lot of my problems go away, but apparently that's not how it works 🤷🏾‍♂️ anyway, no need to worry about me as I have my fur babies and Ella to take care of me & my family have been supportive of my decision (no one tell my grandparents tho looool) 🖤 Also, if I haven't done something you've asked me to do, this is why I'm being slow/unresponsive. I also feel like I've been allowing people take from me and it's making me feel drained and used, SO I'm trying to be more mindful of what/who I say yes to etc. Equally, though, I have met some absolutely lovely, genuine people this year and getting to know them has meant a lot to me and Ella can stop telling me to go and make friends because I spend too much time on my own hahaha. Anyway, if you're still reading (do people read captions still?) one thing keeping me going is playing my first gig with my new band @dogvioletband this Saturday - see you there if you can make it!
