This is most time I've ever spent at home in a winter. The tricky, consequential and just plain weird snowpacks across North America has made for a long waiting game for @the.fifty.project. Most lines left are either laying wait in Idaho, Montana, Colorado and California where snowpack stability has been hard to find. The rest are in Canada where a closed border sits in between. That last few are in Alaska where late spring is the only season for skiable lines. On that note, there has been an unprecedented 20 avalanche fatalities already this season. I've had multiple friends with extremely close calls, narrowly escaping with their lives this year. To all the other lives lost this year in avalanches, I feel for their families, friends and communities. I don't know what to say other than be vigilant, be extremely cautious and be patient, I'm trying my best to do such that and I know how hard it can be.
